Lye (Sodium Hydroxide)
Sodium Hydroxide, better known as Lye, is the agent that reacts with the oils and creates soap during a process called saponifcation. It is an essential ingredient in crafting our cold-processed soap.
Distilled Water
An essential element in life also doubles as an essential ingredient in our soap making process. Water is used to dissolve lye, enabling a chemical reaction with the oils to begin the saponification process. As the soap cures, the water evaporates and creates hardened bars that will last long in your shower.
